How to Remove Your Control head

How to Remove Your Control head

  1. Put the unit in bypass, then hold the extra cycle button on the display for 5 seconds to initiate a backwash. When the drain line is opened you will hear the pressure released down the drain. Once the pressure has been released, you can unplug the control head.
  2. Disconnect the bypass from the control head by loosening the screws that hold the clips that secure the bypass to the control head.
  3. You can now gently pull the system away from the plumbing, separating the control head from the bypass valve.
  4. Disconnect the drain line from the control head.
  5. You may need two people for this step, have one person hold the tank, and one person grab the control head and turn counter clock wise to unscrew the whole control head from the tank.
